The XM-5000Li Lithium Battery Powered Luxury Electric Moped with 5000 Watt rear hub motor is the newest addition in 2009The XM-5000Li is the first of it's kind street legal electric powered moped / motorcycle, not bicycle running on lightweight high powered Lithium batteries and a 5000 Watt rear hub motor. The XM-5000Li E-Moped is the fastest & lightest E-Moped available & because it runs on 21 small light weight Lithium Ion batteries, the driving distances can be up to 85 Miles on a single charge. With proper battery care, the battery life cycle can be 7 to 10 years and can be charged up to 2000 times.The XM-5000Li is about the same size and weight as the XM-3500Li Electric Moped. It however has about 25% more torque than the XM-3500Li. The distribution of the weight is also an important factor since the 21 light lithium batteries are small & stored low in the bike to keep the center of weight low to the ground which gives the rider more stability & control. With updated rear hydraulic disc brake hose, the stopping power of the XM-5000Li Electric moped is both quick & safe. The built in automatic transmission gives the 5000Li Moped a top speed of about 60 MPH and we have personally tested this moped to these speeds. This Electric moped is capable of traveling up to 85 miles on a single charge and therefore does not need to be re-charged daily if the bike is not going to exceed it's maximum range. With the unpredictable gas prices these days Electric modes of transportation are becoming an ever more affordable necessity versus traditional transportation. The XM-5000Li is also a DOT certified Motor Vehicle which can be registered for street legal use in most states. This is Not A Toy Scooter. It is likely you will need a drivers or motorcycles license to operate this bike. Consult your local DMV for more details. Each XM-5000Li includes a VIN and MCO certificate that you can take to your local DMV office and exchange it for a Title (Pink Slip) and License Plate / Registration. This Electric Powered Moped ships by trucking company (UPS FREIGHT). Shipping is free as long as you pick it up at your nearest terminal. Alternatively you can choose the door delivery option to have it delivered to your door. If you do not live near a major city, or close to a UPS Freight terminal, we suggest you have it delivered directly to your residence or business.
